Use these features so that you will assist your potential borrowers in protecting themselves, garner trust and may be a loan?

1.      Apply for the three free credit reports per year, one from each of the bureaus by going to www.annualcreditreport.com or call (877) 322-8228

2.      Apply for the no cost fraud alerts which are good for 90-days at Equifax (800) 525-6385; Experian (888) 397-3742 and TransUnion (800) 680-7289.

3.      Remove yourselves from firm-offer lists by going to www.optoutprescreen.com or call (888) 567-8688.  The recording will ask for social security number. You do not have to give it. Remain silent and the process will move on to other information request. 

4.      To remove yourself from some catalog and junk mail lists go to www.dma-consumers.org/cgi/offmailing.
